A few months back I shared my intro and mentioned thinking about getting a circumcision to improve comfort with chastity. After roughly three weeks of release, it became clear that (1) my foreskin wasn’t coping well due to swelling, and (2) hygiene was definitely problematic. So… last weekend I went for it and got a low-and-tight cut in my 40s. Honestly, if I’d realized the scale of the surgery beforehand I might have hesitated, but while lying on the table being prepped I held firm and proceeded. With (had) a partially torn frenulum, I knew avoiding it would mean dealing with it later anyway, regardless of chastity.
Now here I am four days post-op as an adult circ in recovery. The sutures are still there, but I’ve taken off the bandages because they were frankly annoying and healing looked good. Walking feels like having a banana up my rear end, yet I managed to work a full day (including travel by plane to a city 500 miles away) the very next day. I skipped painkillers since I view pain as just feedback - better to listen than mute it.
The surgeon did brilliant work; it’s incredibly tidy. My plan is to wait at least four weeks before locking up again, but we’ll see. Once the stitches dissolve, we can decide what makes sense. At present, I’m very pleased with both the choice and result.
Having had a foreskin (albeit one with a slightly torn and tight frenulum) for over 40 years, it will certainly take some adjustment, but early signs look positive.
I put this up so others weighing similar options can learn from my story. I think closed devices fit better now since hygiene worries are reduced.
No photos to share; the top looks very clean overall; the bottom (with full frenulectomy) is slightly less pretty but bruising and swelling are subsiding.
It’s a major commitment, essentially one-way, but at this point I’m glad I did it. As healing continues over the next 6-7 weeks and I get locked again, I’ll update here.
