It’s been a few months since my last extended visit, and I’d like to share what happened. It isn’t thrilling stuff, but perhaps some of you will find it worth reading.
I’m still young and have always enjoyed good health; in fact, medical issues were never much of a concern for me. As an active young man, aside from a few minor bumps along the way, I’ve taken my fitness for granted. I’ve been single for over a year now. While I missed the supervised chastity and FLR dynamic I had before, it wasn’t enough to make me depressed or anything drastic. My lifestyle stayed busy with work demands, leaving little room for negative thoughts. I’d grown accustomed to being chaste after that last relationship, so even without a keyholder nearby, I kept myself locked up. Some days were harder than others. Naturally, there were times of strong temptation and frustration, but overall I feel I handled it well. Perhaps some Ladies wouldn’t be quite as forgiving, but that’s beside the point…
Toward late summer, I began experiencing health issues I’d never encountered before. They became more frequent until one evening found me in the hospital looking pretty rough. The next morning went to surgery, and I spent several weeks recovering there. Fortunately, the doctors did an excellent job with no complications, so everything proceeded smoothly. After a few weeks, I finally returned home, though I needed another couple of weeks to rest up fully now that I am back in good shape. Everything is fine; my only current task is exercising patience as I stay less active for these next months. But this post isn’t really about my health status:)
Since this is a forum dedicated to chastity, I want to look at my experience through the lens of someone who maintained that lifestyle. For all that time while unable to wear my device, it was purely down to willpower. There was nothing else helping me along. Being alone with plenty of free time and very little to occupy myself meant there were fewer distractions than usual. Previously, when locked up, serious temptations usually passed because I kept busy enough not to dwell on the urge to masturbate. That strategy worked quite well…
But now those previous coping mechanisms weren’t as effective.
The first few weeks after surgery actually went okay. The combination of health issues, mental relief post-surgery, and healing wounds made me reflect on many things, but definitely not about temptations. So it was relatively easy. Plus, I had to take several medications that came with side effects impacting my libido or erections:)
So the initial weeks were easier than I expected. In fact, I had very few thoughts regarding chastity and sex.
However, it got much harder once I came home from the hospital. Being alone with limited activities turned into a real test. During that first week back, there were moments when I wanted to abandon all notions of celibacy, but usually ended up staying true to my vow. It reminded me of times in my relationship with my ex-girlfriend and how pleased she was that I could control myself so well. Then I thought about the period where I lived alone yet continued being chaste. Should I give it all back? The answer remained consistent: No:)
I slowly developed routines to manage those intense moments when temptations hit hard. Even during recovery with all its limitations, I picked up new hobbies and treated each day as a small personal battle. Without the device, it was entirely about my will.
It was tough. But after several weeks, I noticed a shift. I started feeling much like I did before my health troubles—in fact, perhaps even better. I managed to overcome all temptations without needing any physical aid.
Now I can wear the device again if I wish, but I realize the most crucial tool is my own willpower. This doesn’t mean I am 100% capable of staying chaste entirely on my own forever; there will likely be periods where it gets tougher with stronger urges, but I know I can handle them whether locked or free. The device merely assists; what matters most is the desire to remain chaste. Now I view the chastity device more as a symbol of my status and THEN as a tool for control.
