My spouse and I just bought our first cage, and it works perfectly! I can wear it around the clock without any issues; it fits under my clothes without being noticeable. It’s snug but not overly tight, and it even stops erections by making me uncomfortable when they happen (instead of that testicle-crushing pull-away style). Cleaning is simple… really great. The behavioral perks for our relationship and D/S/FLR dynamic are also lovely. We both feel 24/7 wear would be perfect, but our own research turned up serious health worries about wearing it while sleeping. Basically, men have 3-5 erections during REM sleep each night, and many urologists see this as natural “exercise” for the penis. When asked about devices worn at night, their answer is a firm no - it’s the only medical commentary on chastity I’ve found. This matches up with what many people in blog posts say: wearing devices overnight causes severe discomfort and pain, sometimes regularly. It confuses me because so many guides to choosing the right device keep saying “pain means something is wrong” - usually referring to daily wear issues like chafing, pinching, burning under the scrotum, or cutting off blood flow. Yet those same posts say about nighttime erections and what they call ‘extreme pain’ that you should “ignore it, it will pass,” which contradicts the ‘listen to your body’ advice. I don’t want to hurt my body - nor does my wife. I have a large penis she likes owning and using for her pleasure, and we plan on having more children. I’m not sure what direction to go. I want 24/7 locking. She wants it too. But we’re both worried about permanent damage (fertility, sensation, erection ability, strength, size, duration) and don’t want to risk messing things up if the probability seems high. Can anyone calm our nerves?
