Hi everyone! I’m a new member. Like many others, I’ve been using the CB-6000 for several months with intermittent wear, and now it’s time to upgrade my cage because of fit, hygiene, and comfort issues. The main thing holding me back from buying a Jailbird earlier has been the challenge of taking accurate measurements without having them cut.
I bought plastic rings from MM and have worn them overnight to test which size works best. Here are some questions that seem relevant:
- Should I choose a ring that allows for 24/7 wear including sleep, or one where circulation isn’t restricted (even if nighttime erections hurt)?
- Measuring length is driving me crazy! I have quite a lot of foreskin; even when erect, it completely covers the glans. With my CB-6000, I usually pull that excess skin up to avoid bunching and pinching at the base. I’m unsure about finding the right Jailbird length: do I need to keep the skin pulled back, or can I let it bunch up? Or maybe I should look for a larger inner cage diameter to accommodate the skin? My measurements confirm I’m definitely a grower—my lowest (non-shriveled) measurement is around 2.25 inches and erect length hits 6 inches. However, with the foreskin included, that jumps to nearly 3 inches, which confuses me!
- Also, my anatomy hangs lower, so I feel the CB-6000 is too large for this reason. The cage seems full (likely due to the foreskin), but I can slide it down significantly, leaving empty space at the tip. Sliding forward isn’t a problem, but pulling out happens very easily. I ordered the KSD-G3 model; while it helps somewhat, urination becomes tricky and pinching sores start appearing after about 8 hours. With the largest size option, I can still pull out, but getting back in is difficult.
- Would adding a double base ring help prevent pulling out or just provide general security? Is it worth it for comfort alone? I assume ordering it separately costs roughly the same as including it with the initial purchase, aside from extra shipping.
A couple of notes: I plan to have the bars inverted so that skin pinching is minimized. Also, I realize I can always pull out if I really try hard enough; my concern is whether the effort will be annoying when wearing the device (I hate lying about being locked up). I’m tempted to play around with it during daily cleaning breaks. Ideally, I want a setup where I don’t have to worry about unlocking just because I can pull out in seconds and slip back in quickly. It’s like having junk food within arm’s reach but not wanting the trip to the kitchen for it. If escaping requires real effort, the temptation fades.
Thanks for any advice! Would pictures showing my sizing challenges be useful?
