I’m seeking some quick guidance. I had quite a few questions, ranging from sizing to various other details. However, as is my habit, I checked the forums first and actually found most of what I needed. The info here has been very useful. While not everything is set in stone since individuals vary, it provided enough clarity for me to decide where to start.

I was reading about folks using steel devices. One person noted that their wives weren’t too fond of the plastic chastity cage. I feel like I’m encountering something similar. My wife sometimes likes the concept but then dislikes seeing me locked up; she says it looks uncomfortable and/or not particularly clean. With a CB-6000, things start out fairly comfortable but become uneasy rather quickly. From my reading, I suspect most of my issues stem from how I’ve sized everything, which is good news.

That said, I still want to consider switching to steel. Generally, it seems like the superior choice. Currently, I’m practicing self-chastity. I offered the option for orgasm denial, and while she seemed pleased with it initially, she hasn’t really stuck with it. It’s been nearly a month and a half since she last brought it up. I don’t wear the cage often because long-term use is uncomfortable for me, though perhaps I can address that.

I plan to start with an affordable Chinese model just to get going. Spending over $300 on something custom-made in the US feels steep right now, even if they are worth it.

I’ve noticed several of these devices come with urethral plugs. They look intriguing as a form of additional restraint or similar mechanism. I’ve read all the usual concerns: keeping things clean, possibly not wearing that part constantly but intermittently, etc.

My main question is regarding the two types available. There’s the solid steel urethral plug and then the silicone one. The silicone versions tend to be longer, obviously trimmable as needed. Which is better? I’ve never tried anything like it and am very curious. If anyone has experience with both or can point me toward a thread I might have missed, please let me know.
