Shortening the cage length and its effects?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been wearing my Jail Bird for a few months now… I’m preparing to send it back for a ring adjustment and am also thinking about shortening the cage. The cage fits correctly as is (the only time I hit the limit is when the cage slides down, which should be resolved by the ring fix), but I know many folks prefer going shorter than their “standard” measurement.

My primary goal is extra security… It’s not hard for me to orgasm and I hope a shorter cage will make it harder or at least better at ruining my climax. With that in mind, here are some questions…

First off, is it even worth the effort? Should I notice any benefit in preventing or ruining an orgasm? I know nothing is perfect… I’m just looking for improvement.

If I do go shorter, what tradeoffs should I expect regarding comfort and wearability? Does being “squished” into a tighter cage make peeing harder? Any other pros/cons?

Finally, does anyone have thoughts on where the limit lies? I’m currently at 2”, which feels like my ideal length based on standard measuring guidelines. Would dropping to 1 3/4 be too much? Is anything beyond that drastic?
