First off, congrats on running such a great forum with plenty of useful and engaging content. I put this short article together because it might interest anyone looking to build their own chastity belt. A quick intro on how we got here. The most important thing is that we have a solid relationship (married for 10 years). We have our ups and downs, but the chastity side just adds some spice; we aren’t going anywhere without it. I’m usually the one who enjoys being tied up, including short-term (an hour or two) chastity play with simple homemade devices. My wife occasionally indulged me in this. However, she didn’t really like that I played with my ‘toys’ while she was out. Since I work from home a lot now, temptation is always near. After catching me several times, we had a chat. I admitted I’d gotten into the habit of hoping she would leave so I could indulge myself. I felt guilty afterwards and usually ran around doing chores to make up for it, so it wasn’t all bad. Still, waiting with hope that your wife is going out so you can get up to mischief isn’t a great feeling. Since I already had an interest in chastity, she suggested that the next time I felt the ‘urge’ to play, why not focus on building a ‘proper’ chastity belt? At least there would be something tangible at the end. Being trained as an engineer, this sounded like a dream come true. Who doesn’t want to build things related to their interests? Hence my project to construct the belt described below. Looking back, my wife’s unusual enthusiasm for a project in this area should have been a warning sign, but like many engineers, I was too wrapped up in solving problems to see the bigger picture unfolding. Although my wife isn’t very technical, she is sharp and asked lots of probing questions about the belt’s construction and security. She even tested some of my assurances with a screwdriver and spanner. Confession time: it was great fun, like having your best friend work on your favorite project alongside you. The actual process turned what had been a ‘small issue’ in our relationship into something positive. Fiddling around off and on took about a year and three design iterations to get everything just right. What made me gulp slightly was at the end when she returned from the DIY store with ‘her’ padlock, saying it “was to be used from now on.” I wear my lovingly crafted belt quite often! Although I don’t play as frequently and being locked up can be frustrating, getting out feels fantastic. With ‘temptation’ removed, I tend to focus more on useful projects which gives me greater long-term satisfaction and keeps my wife happy. I managed to take a few pictures of the belt before my wife and current key-holder ‘installed’ it; she seemed worryingly eager for me to try it on! To be continued…
