Fourteen months of near constant wear and somewhere in the last few I stopped noticing. Not in a good way, not in a bad way. It is just there, the way a watch is there. I put it on, I take it off for cleaning, I get on with my day.
When I started, the first hour of every lock-up was the whole point. Now I can go a full week without the thought crossing my mind, and when my keyholder mentions it I have to sort of consciously remember that it is a thing that is happening.
Is this what it looks like when it works, or is this what it looks like just before people quit? Because I genuinely cannot tell from the inside.
