I just noticed that the clear tubing typically used for aquarium filters and airstones works really well on my 6000’s outer posts to prevent side-to-side movement. It cuts easily with scissors, and once trimmed to fit your spacer properly, it eliminates any shifting. This should help keep the “ears” from breaking since there’s no transferred motion. Hope this small tip is useful for someone.
