I’ve begun employing a homemade method to prevent pinching: I used an old chain dog leash, cutting off the leather grip. It sits securely around my waist. Then I take some string and weave one end through a link in the chain directly north of the cage, while the other passes through the section connecting the base ring to the cage—specifically where the lock or security screw goes. After pulling it to a comfortable length, I secure it with a small bow. This setup is both cozy and virtually invisible under clothing. The string gently lifts the base ring (and thus the scrotum) slightly, holding that position while upright. In my case, it has nearly completely stopped pinching. Of course, anatomy varies from person to person. I have a compact scrotum with balls held snugly by the cage; they don’t dangle much at all. The base ring rises just barely under the scrotum (perhaps only millimeters), and that tiny bit of extra tissue underneath was what used to get caught. This custom support resolves that issue. It’s definitely worth attempting. If it becomes uncomfortable, you can simply duck into a restroom stall, untie the string, and return to your usual state or tweak the length as needed.
