Mature Metal discussion

Hi all, I’ve been working on getting the right fit for a chastity device for a long time now, and so far this is the closest I’ve gotten. My current cage is 3 1/8” long (I measured 3 1/2” flaccid). It’s 1 1/4” ID. The base ring is 1 5/8”. 3/8” gap originally which I’ve bent to be slightly larger. I’m having rideout issues because I’ve never had a device that will sit firmly against my body during erections. If I hold the device against myself and do something arousing it seems to fit just fine. But during normal use I always seem to get significant rideout. In all my previous cages this led to my balls hurting pretty badly and turning dark like they weren’t getting enough bloodflow. In this cage I have a similar problem but it’s not quite as severe. My balls still get pretty uncomfortable during erections but it’s not unbearable like it used to be. I’m hoping the community can offer some advice. I’m wondering what changes I need to make. Whether it’s a smaller/larger gap or different base ring. I’m also considering having an entirely new cage made one size smaller (1 1/8” ID instead of my current 1 1/4”) but I do worry that might end up being too small.:| Here’s an imgur album with descriptions:
