I’ve now been secured in the new Jail Bird for eight days straight, with just a few brief moments of release to make minor tweaks to the device. Yesterday marked quite a milestone as it was the first time I remained locked while delivering a seminar and workshop that involved addressing a group. Previously, I always had these events excused from locking, but now that Mrs Ringo has acquired the JB, she is very eager for me to stay fastened more often, for longer periods, and during all occasions. It may sound silly, but I admit I was genuinely nervous about standing up to speak before a crowd while wearing the device. I didn’t voice my anxiety to my wife beforehand; I simply assumed she would allow me out of the JB for the day. She did not. Later, when I shared my feelings with her, she seemed quite surprised that it bothered me at all. Interestingly, I felt strangely proud because I had handled things so well – I actually felt as though I was truly doing this on her behalf. Does anyone else experience nervousness while wearing a device during public speaking or working in view of others? It’s not really about the device being visible; I know it isn’t. Rather, it is more about the psychological aspect of being a denied and locked husband under public observation. The fact that my wife and I run these workshops together means she sits among the audience when I speak, which adds a delightful touch of shared secrecy between us, though many other emotions are swirling in my mind at those moments. I am told that later today I will come out to get a smooth shave. My wife doesn’t much care for pubic hair and particularly dislikes prickly balls. So they get shaved at least once each week. I try hard to shave while still locked, but it isn’t entirely effective. I have little doubt that after the shave I shall be back inside the JB. Life is good and I love her.
