Hi all,
I noticed that the “Millers” (the makers behind the cb-2000, cb-3000, The Curve, and cb-6000) have released a new gadget called the PA-5000. Has anyone here seen it yet?
I don’t sport a PA piercing, so this unit clearly isn’t meant for me, but it feels like it could be the solution many have been seeking!
It uses that same robust “plastic” material their other gadgets are made from, but formed into a locking shaft tube. It seems poised to cover a significant market gap. Many folks can’t handle ball-trap devices (I’m one of them) and eventually get pierced to switch to tubes. Ms. Lori has dominated this space for years, though lately her service and reputation seem to be slipping. Plus, many users report that Lori’s units are too heavy for long-term wear and often require an “A-ring” anyway.
This new device is lightweight, non-metallic (airport safety status unknown?), doesn’t need an A-ring, and best of all… it’s AFFORDABLE!!! The site lists it at just $90!
What do you think? Should Ms. Lori be worried? Do any of the pierced users see issues that would prevent this from working for them? I’m not pierced myself and currently wear a neosteel, so I don’t see myself buying one, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether it’s a good option for new or experienced wearers.
Has anyone got theirs yet? If you do, please share. Others are welcome to chime in too.:evilgrin0010:
