Introductions discussion

I’m shopping around for my first cage to take the initiative so I’ll already have a key to give to someone special.

Legit cages are all in the $150 range. I tried looking for genuine ones at a discount, but none seem real and obviously I don’t want a knockoff. I just want something that won’t break or hurt me. At first CB-X was my only option since it’s all I knew, then I saw other companies through this forum. Now holytrainer, bon4, and birdlocked are on my radar (they all take paypal). They all look appealing. But then I even heard bon4 accused of being a knockoff for birdlocked? Or maybe that was years ago? It didn’t really click with me, and I feel fed up because this shouldn’t be so hard. I just want transparent silicone not made in China. Are those 3 options all okay as starters?

And I might have to get one small, but that’s another thread.
