Considering the irony of using ‘shootout’ for devices meant to prevent anything from shooting, I should clarify that this term typically denotes a comparison review of cameras or gadgets. These reviews won’t be extensive, but hopefully useful. This is intended as a 4-device review; however, my Holy Trainer ordered over two weeks ago still has nearly a week left before arrival. When my wife agreed to the locking and the chastity lifestyle, we immediately ordered the HT. But I didn’t want to wait that long to start, so I purchased device #1 the day after ordering the HT. CB-4000 The attachment CB-4000.jpg is no longer available It arrived by mail on Monday. The velvet bag was labeled CB-4000. Naturally, CB-X doesn’t make a 4000 or similar devices. The only ring size they offer is 45mm, which I assumed would work since that’s what I measured for the HT. It didn’t. The ring is quite thick and fit very tightly. The challenge was fitting it over an engorged penis while keeping the ring closed. I ended up using a stocking to hold everything together etc., but eventually got it on. Interestingly, my blue balls weren’t caused by denial… I quickly realized the cage itself was HUGE. I have quite a variety of underwear (my wife might call it a fetish), yet even so, it took several attempts to find something that could contain it all. Still, not very noticeable under jeans. Material - black chrome plated metal. I doubt it’s stainless steel Comfort - minimal. If I found a 50mm ring, I might try it again. Long term wear - probably not. After 2 days, I was seeking relief from the tightness. So I ordered another after searching more thoroughly. Cost - around $30 with shipping Update: This device is now in a landfill somewhere. After applying the gift card and other discounts, my out-of-pocket cost was about $10. I can live with that. It’s an improvement on the 4000. Came with three rings - 40mm, 45mm, 50mm. I didn’t even try the small one and went for the 45. Comfort improved. Squeezing my nuts and cock through the ring was a bit disorienting. Lubrication (lotion or oil) was necessary for the final part. I also needed the stocking to pull everything through. Poked myself several times with the pins, but got locked in. Slept well with it on. Went out Friday evening; noticed the square end of the back locking pin digging into my abdomen. Saturday I ground it round, polished, buffed and replated with rhodium (no chrome available) - better. But it was still rather tight, so I tried the 50mm. Balls popped out three times - back to the 45mm. Saturday afternoon shaft looked healthy; Sunday afternoon it was in sad shape. Actually went to bed without the cage. No worry about masturbating - too sore. On and off wear through Thursday.. Monday I ordered #3. **Material **- I think it’s stainless. Non-magnetic white metal, fairly hard, with an under layer of copper plating and a top chrome layer. Had to use a polishing wheel to smooth welds and replate. Comfort - 3/5 Not hopeless. Might use it later. The problem is the ring is too tight. I don’t know what caused irritation on the shaft, but it wasn’t pretty. Now healed, took 3 days. **Long term wear **- Could work for some, not me yet. Update - I find that I’m in this one again, and actually comfortable. Once adapted to wearing a chastity device, the ring works fine. The only drawback is the cage end leaves the glans unprotected; there’s occasional pain as it brushes against my underwear (soft nylon) if engorged. But I’m wearing it now. The cage is cast stainless, finished outside with a brushed finish. No plating. Inside has natural matte casting texture - not rough, but not shiny smooth either. Took time using a fine abrasive wheel on hole edges and inside as much as possible. I may post before/after pictures later since I’ve reached my limit here. Rounded off ring corners; put thin PVC tube over hinge. Nice - fills cage most of the time. Engorged feels snug, no pain from holes. Using 48mm ring, finds it ideal. Like cleaning well and using Burts Bees Mama Oil to prevent binding. Want to keep this one on though need getting used to half a pound of metal hanging off nuts. This is most comfortable and least noticeable of the three. Pin digs abdomen slightly when sitting in car; otherwise fine. Once ring closed, can insert locking pin to hold while fiddling - much easier than others. Still use stocking for insertion. Care needed lining up cage pins. Very secure once locked. Like look and feel. Material - 304 stainless steel Comfort - currently 4/5 Long term wear - likely. Waiting for Holy Trainer, but like idea of open cage easy to clean in shower. Note with all three I didn’t really try getting out. First reason for chastity is stopping masturbation. Second wife agreed so want to honor that by not working hard to escape. Truth: treasure my “family jewels” and allergic to pain. Might get out but at what cost? With first two fits, know I’d never get out without serious pain. Tried urinating standing in B4M only.
