Asking a Friend to Hold the Key for My Chastity Problem

Hi everyone. I’m completely new to this forum. Anyway, I’ve had a problem for over two years now. I’m obsessed with masturbating to the point where it has been affecting my life. I’m unemployed currently and looking for work. I’ve come to the conclusion that my addiction is interfering with my motivation to do things. If I refrain from masturbation for about two days, I have much more energy and drive; I can only see this as a problem. I thought of a chastity device, but realized what’s the point of wearing one if I hold the key? I have a female friend in college who lives about 100 miles away where I live, and she is also single (if that matters). We never discussed anything sexual, but I feel I can trust her with anything. The big question is: what might be the risk of explaining my situation to her and asking that she hold the key? Do people do this?
